The Ngorongoro Crater, often described as one of the wonders of the world is the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera and a natural sanctuary for some of Africa’s densest animal populations. It is one of the few places where the rare black rhino can be observed in their natural setting. As very few animals migrate in and out of the crater with its 2000 ft. high walls, you can expect to see lions, elephants, zebras, hippos, flamingos, jackals, rhinos, antelopes, many birds and other species. With a bit of luck the famous Big Five consisting of elephant, buffalo, rhino, lion and leopard can be spotted during one game drive only. Overnight at Ngorongoro Ang’ata Tented Camp. All meals and selected drinks included.
  • Day 5

From December through March they concentrate at the Ndutu and Salei plains, where the calving season takes place, attracting the attention of predators like lion, cheetah and hyena. In June and July they move into the western corridor and in October and November the herds can usually be found in the northern Serengeti. The Serengeti Kopjes massive boulder islands of granite standing in a sea of grass provide shelter to a great variety of plants and animals, from the elusive leopard to the tiny dikdik.
